Wales is in the process of introducing a new curriculum which has involved complex system wide change. Camau i’r Dyfodol is a three-year collaborative research project designed to support practical understandings of Curriculum for Wales [CfWinvolving researchers from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, the University of Glasgow, and Welsh Government.

The idea of shared understanding of the new curriculum was an important aspect of its development and launch. However, the Camau i’r Dyfodol project found that the curriculum was being understood and implemented in different ways. To support shared understanding, it brought together teachers, education professionals, policymakers and researchers to think through what the challenges were.

This blog shares insights on how one school in the project has transformed how they approach curriculum development – with lessons emerging for how we deliver education in Scotland.
