Children's Literature, Media & Cultural Entrepreneurship (Erasmus Mundus International Master)

Coming from Nigeria where the subject of literature for children is not considered a very big deal, it was interesting for me to get to Glasgow and I noticed a whole new world of children's literature being introduced to me. I really loved it at the University of Glasgow, the international student community is strong that it makes you feel welcomed and included.  The several workshops and research lecture sessions held by different professors and relevant voices in the program helped me discover new research areas and solidified my knowledge on children's literature and emerging issues in the program.

I chose the Tilburg University pathway for my semester 3 because of its uniqueness in complementing my research interests. Generally, being part of this program has been quite an interesting experience. I was more intrigued with how student needs are prioritized to achieve an excellent learning outcome.

My favourite part of the program is the interactive classroom sessions that allows for self-expression and give room for inclusion. More importantly is the keen attention given to students with disability especially those with mobility issues and it was good to see that everyone is uniquely supported to be on their best.

Finally, being part of this particular cohort challenged me intellectually and it was exciting to be among such brilliant minds from different cultures and building global friendships and I'm truly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of children's literature and literacy while doing something I love.
