Short Description
The course explores the development of equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), and introduces contemporary research on the topic. It discusses theories as well as policies and practices related to EDI, with an emphasis on their implementation in the workplace. Through case studies and real-world examples, students will develop skills to address EDI challenges, advocate for marginalised groups, and contribute to more inclusive and equitable work environments.

Course Aims
The course aims to:
■ Examine relevant research, as well as current policies and practices being adopted by organisations to manage equality, diversity and inclusion.
■ Understand anti-discrimination legislation and identify barriers facing minorities in organisations.
■ Evaluate current strategies and practices related to managing diversity and inclusion in organisations and formulate recommendations for improvement.
Intended Learning Outcomes of Course
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1. Evaluate and apply key theories of managing organisational diversity and inclusion in practice.
2. Demonstrate understanding of how organisational contexts shape diversity management.
3. Critically evaluate the means and outcomes of implementing diversity management practices in organisations.
