The Centre for Data Science & AI (CDSAI) offers two distinct funding schemes designed to support and enhance the impact of research, collaboration, and engagement in the fields of data science and AI. These funding opportunities are available to researchers and projects within the University, as well as those looking to strengthen ties with external collaborators and public organisations.
Conference & Training Fund
The Conference & Training Fund is designed to support staff and PhD students who wish to attend, organise, or participate in conferences, workshops, and training events related to data science and AI. This fund aims to foster the sharing of knowledge, dissemination of research findings, and the development of skills necessary to advance in these rapidly evolving fields.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Engagement Fund
The Engagement Fund is aimed at supporting activities that foster engagement between and external communities, including industry partners, policymakers, non-profit organisations, and the general public. This fund is intended to promote the impact of data science and AI research outside of academic circles, creating opportunities for collaboration, outreach, and knowledge exchange.
