Centre for Teaching Excellence

CfTE Resources

Our resources are designed to support colleagues, partners, and the wider education community in exploring, enhancing, and celebrating teaching excellence. All materials are freely accessible and continually updated as our work develops.

CfTE Online

Access the dedicated digital platform, where teachers can explore a variety of recordings, resources and evidence‑informed practices that showcase innovative teaching across the Centre’s six Research Hubs.

CfTE Online is free for teachers across Scotland, and by creating an account, you can track progress, save and bookmark reading, activities and events in addition to connecting with teachers across the country.

Research Briefs

A core feature of the Centre’s work is through our collection of research briefs, which translates current research and scholarship into practical insights for teaching and policy. Each brief highlights emerging themes, key findings, and implications for practice, supporting both evidence‑based decision‑making and reflective professional growth.

CfTE Blog

Stay up to date with the latest work of the Centre through the blog, where colleagues across the Centre, including Teacher Associates, and invited guests share reflections, project updates, and commentary on developments in teaching and learning in Scotland and beyond.

YouTube Channel

Watch recorded talks, interviews, panel discussions, and project highlights on the dedicated CfTE YouTube channel. These videos offer accessible entry points into CfTE research, events, and collaborations.
